Well, 24 hours ago, at noon, I moved from Ehprata Raceway Park to Wild Horse Campground near The Gorge in George, Washington. Then at midnight my daughter called to say her contractions were 7 minutes apart and she was heading for the hospital. I began driving at 12:30 am through the worst storm in Snoqualmie Pass I have ever seen. Hydroplaining at 70 mph. Dark. Rainy. Scary. Then as I was nearly there (the hospital, 4 hours later) my daughter called to say they were sending her home unitl her water broke. So here I am, at noon, Saturday, on Camano Island, waiting for the call that says I'm a grandpa. My first time. Jeez, when did I get old?
